At the end of a Soul Coaching session I always ask my client to recap the session in their own words, to anchor the wisdom. One of my clients recapped the session so beautifully, she said "the negatives in life are not there to break you – they are there to make you!"How profoundly put - just beautiful.
Talk about a wonderful combination of relaxation, restoration and release! With the positivity, quiet space created for our minds and the Gong bath - the experience was truely magical for all who attended.
We are really looking forward to Septembers retreat and have now set a date for October too.
The old saying 'you can't pour from an empty cup' comes to mind. If we can fill up our cups first - we will have plenty to give others.
Isn't it nice to know that we are not stuck in the past and we don't have to stay there either. We can use the experiences from the past to build a better future – we just need to know how. So if the past is still haunting you, have faith that with the right love and guidance you can move past the old outdated patterns and pains of the years gone by and step into a brighter future - one filled with peace and love.
I have recently been reading a book by Nancy Levin called Jump.... And Your Life Will Appear and absolutely loved the way Nancy explains about how making different choices can lead to a 'sustainably satisfying life' Nancy says:
Yes, this step is about doing one thing differently, but it's actually about building a muscle. You're learning how to make different choices on an on going basis, every day, for the rest of your life. Making new and possibly dangerous choices is required if you want to live a sustainably satisfying life. When your "change muscle" becomes stronger, you're less likely to get stuck in circumstances that hold you back or keep you small. If you know how to make little changes, you can make adjustments as you go and follow a dynamic path based on courage and freedom.
If your past choices got you to the present, the present choices will take you into the future. Learning how to choose differently makes that brighter future possible. So, try it! Make one different choice and see how your life changes. As a motivational speaker Les Brown says, "life has no limitations except the ones you make". Nancy Levin
So what small changes can you make today that will help you lead a more satisfying life? Changing one small thing, can and will change the course of your life - forever.
Embracing change is possibly one of the hardest things we can do, but also one of the best character traits we can master. Changing our mindset can and will determine the outcome of a situation. Instead of saying 'why is this happening TO me' start saying 'why is this happening FOR me'. Looking for how we can learn and grow from life's challenges will determine whether we stay stuck or whether we grow.
It is very easy to think that our view point and perception is the 'right one' and 'only one' - quite often this is how separation in relationships occur. In order for us to create healthy relationships, we must be willing to firstly acknowledge there is another view point and then be prepared to 'see it'. We may just surprise ourselves, learn something new and have better relationships as a result.
Criticism breaks down the inner spirit. Praise builds it up. Praise yourself as much as you can. Tell yourself how well you are doing with every little thing.
