Meditation is possibly one of the most powerful tools to aid our travel through life. It has been scientifically proven to change our brain state and in turn adjusting the chemicals in our body. When we meditate we activate our para sympathetic nervous system which is responsible for our feel good hormones. It has been said that our body becomes addicted to the chemical concoctions that our body secretes. When we are in a state of heightened stress, a body secretes stress hormones and as a result becomes addicted to them. We can train our body to secrete feel good hormones and in turn become addicted to those too. It simply takes a few minutes every day to activate and is one of the most precious gifts that we can give to ourselves. It is no wonder that meditation is being taught in schools and used as a tool to help children connect with their inner being and coronet them to a place of calm.
